My first konad failed design.

No, I'm not lying, at all. This truly is the first time I used a konad stamp where my sister bought it for me from Singapore. As you can see, Im not good at it at all and I'm ashamed of myself. The bows are crooked and inconsistent on every nails. Well, practice makes perfect and hopefully one day I would be able to master this.

(China Glaze Kaleidoscope Him Out, DV8, LOL, Tickle My Triangle)

And the glitters used here are from Swaafie and polishes are the one i won from Varnish Vixen, thank you so much sweetie!!!! I've been wanting these holographic soooo badly as I couldn't find them here in Vancouver. You made my dream come true!!! >.< Thank you again!!! <3

Could anyone give me some tips on konad? Like the crooked part?

First blue holo franken attempt

After seeing this awesome blue holo franken made by loodie loodie loodie and tips from Rachel Marie Nails, I tried making my first blue holo. But I failed, miserably =(. The blue turn out to be greyish and the holo didn't really show up even though I used almost half bottle of Worth of Risque. Any suggestions for the ratio?? >.<

Color Club Worth the Risque, Wet and Wild Rain Check and Unknown korean brand (just a few drops to make it darker)

To make it less boring, I added some hexagon glitters and stars to make myself feel better, hahahaha.

Petites Color fever 534 Raspberry Ice, hot pink/magenta shimmer color.
Thank you again Rachel, you're such a sweetie!! <3

Goldie Holographic swatches

So everyone agreed these Goldie nail polish could be categorize under holographic =). I love all this color BUT for the first time I realized how bad a nail polish formula can be. Usually Im not picky about polish formula, but the application was very disappointing. After a few layers, the color started to look dull and very rough surface because of the glitters. I understand about the rough surface part, but what's with the dull and matte part??

 Indoor light

 Under sunlight

Very gorgeous light lilac purple holographic

 After a layer of topcoat

Under sunlight, 3 layers with topcoat. Very sheer though.

This looks like China glaze TMI but more holographic. Just a bit.

I put a layer of light pink before 2 layers of Goldie polish.

Now, it looks like OPI Katy perry Teenage Dream without the holo part.

Misty wanted to be in this photo.

These are just my personal opinion and the colors in the photos might not be accurate. The photo quality might be better when i get the camera back next week. Other than that, what do you think of these polishes?

Have an awesome weekend!!!

Failed Inspiration nail art

This was actually inspired by Swaafie, but her version is so much more better than mine. Thats such a gorgeous mani and makes me happy just by looking at it. *Thanks hun for letting me use your photo* =D

So I did try using a different method. Instead of Gosh Holographic, I used OPI DS Coronation; instead of dotting different colors, I overlay the dot on each other. The end results was terrifying and I was so disappointed with it. First of all, the holographic didn't show up as much as it would, and my overlaying rainbow technique didn't work out as well as I expected.

*Disappointed* and *fading away*........

Holographic....or not?

During nail polish hunt today, this cute packaging caught my eye instantly. But what surprised me the most is that 2 out of the 3 bottle looks like holographic nail polish. The problem is, I couldn't find any swatches of this color anywhere else and I wasn't sure if I would categorize it under "Holographic". So instead of doing swatches right now(since its already night time), I did a video to show the bottle and the color. I will post the swatches tomorrow if Mr. Sun is willing to come out to play.

So.....what do you think??? >.<

Color Club Holographic

This is definitely not something new, but it had been on my wish-list for the longest time beside china glaze OMG collection. And finally found it on ebay for less than 5 dollars a bottle. I had lots of doubt before buying it because it doens't look as holo as any swatches Ive seen on other blog and was a little disappointed when i got them in the mail. Just a little.

Worth the Risque, Revvvolution, and Fashion Addict

The holo effect isn't as noticable as what I've expected. It is still gorgeous nonetheless. 2 layers here without a top coat.

With flash

Fashion Addict, a very pretty light lilac purple but unfortunately not holographic. *Cries*

Last but not least, Worth the risque. Couldn't complain much about it since Ive already disappointed with the other 2 bottles. The holo effect is so subtle that i had to turned the bottle upside down, looking from every angle, desperately and hoping to find a hint of holo effect.

I thought I could take tick off these names from the wish-list, but apparently they would have to stay a bit longer until I get the real holographic color club.

*Sigh*

Lady Gaga Grammy inspired nail art

How can you not like the "surprises" by Lady Gaga, especially how she made her entrance to the Grammy awards last week.

This nail art is actually inspired by her rehersal for the Grammy awards before the performance with Elton John. I couldn't find a picture of it, but there is a video on youtube.

*Cheers*

Holographic overloaded Tutorial

Greetings!!!! I'm glad everyone likes the holographic overloaded nail art and this is how i did it. Of course you are free to use any holographic nail polish you like. Enjoy and have fun!!!

OPI Coronation, Black Shatter and China Glaze IDK.

 1) After base coat, apply 2 layers of CG IDK.

 2) To achieve a more evenly crack look, apply just 1 thin layer of Black shatter.

3) Outline the shape of star with Coronation.

4) Then fill in the star.

5) This part is optional. Add some small or medium hexagon glitters and apply a top coat.

DONE!!!

Feel free to send me links/photos if you ever try this, i would love to see different design other than stars or different colors!! >.<

*Cheers*

Holographic overloaded

I got my first crack nail polish not too long ago and yet im still not bored of it yet. So i used one of my fav holographic China Glaze IDK as the base coat and OPI Coronation to draw the stars after a layer of black shatter. And woolaa, a more lively looking crack nail art. >.<

I still can't get enough of crack nail polish yet even though i finished using half a bottle already.
